I'm 9 months old today!

Here are some stats of Jaelyn at 9 months:

• Weighs 17 1bs 4 oz (25%)
  
• Is 28.5 inches long (85%)
• Dr. Dave said to start giving her table food...she can eat anything but peanuts & honey.
• She's on the move....army crawling to get everywhere!
• Has 3 teeth with the 2nd top one just about to break through.
• Starting to wean her off of breastfeeding (because of those sharp teeth...all I have to say is ouch!)
  
• Would rather have mommy or daddy walk with her the entire day instead of sitting by herself.
• Eats anything I put in front of her...but would rather feed herself ("little miss independent" already!)
  
• Enjoys being in the "big girl" car seat (no more infant car seat~I didn't realize how nice those infant car seats really were...especially at the grocery store b/c she enjoys reaching for everything!)
• Mommy & Daddy's cell phones and the TV remote are still her toys of choice.
• Can kick a soccer ball...or simply by just walking into it. We'd like to think she's doing it on purpose because she's a natural soccer player!
  
• Is still wearing 6-9 month clothes (but the length of pants are going to be an issue soon)
• Can still take 3 naps a day, but that is starting to disappear...
• Sleeps about 11-12 hours each night
• Isn't camera shy...
• Must have her blanket to fall asleep (so I went and bought an identical blanket just in case we lose it...or it's in the wash & she needs a nap pronto!)
• Waves "hi" to friends & family.
• Enjoys making new noises with her mouth
  
• Offers open mouth kisses "on cue"....when I get her up from a nap, or when you simply ask for one (well, most of the time!). It's so precious!!

Water Babies Class

Marcus was able to come to Jaelyn's water babies class today & get some pictures of Jaelyn swimming in the pool. She loved being in the water again! The 30 minute session seems to fly by...but I can tell she gets a big workout in that amount of time because she naps super hard in the afternoon.

I think I need to bring some goggles next time because she splashes/kicks so much!

Jaelyn loved to swim after the balls...but didn't really want to put them in the bucket after she picked them up! She thought they were good eatin'!

Here we are after the session is completed...one happy little girl! I know the swim cap is pretty dorky...but is required for the class (not really sure why!) And my bathing suit is probably 8 yrs old...ya think it's time to buy another one?!? :)

Jaelyn's latest trick.....

Look out world...we've got an "army crawler" on our hands!! She'll do anything to get her hands on Mommy's cell phone! Tomorrow we are going to purchase some "baby proofing" stuff...because before we know it she'll be crawling around really fast! It's better to have it before we 'wished' we would have had it! This latest trick was Jaelyn's present to Daddy!!

Giggling Jaelyn

I thought I would give a little video clip of Jaelyn for all you out-of-towners...isn't her laugh contagious?! I love it...it warms this momma's heart!!

Jaelyn is 8 1/2 months old...she is getting to be very mobile! Yesterday I had to do a few things upstairs and so I left her "playing" with her toys downstairs. After a few minutes I didn't hear any of her play noises. I ran downstairs to see that she had maneuvered herself (army crawled/rolled) all the way to the Christmas tree (yes, that bugger is still up....but going to take it down tonight!) and was taking off the ornaments & eating them!! I can't take my eyes off of her...or what I really need to do is baby proof the house! I can't believe we've come to baby proofing the house already!

Today was a new experience for Jaelyn. I enrolled her in a waterbabies class & today was her first time in a pool! I didn't know how she would react to it...would she cry, be scared, or love it. Well, I should have known better...she was grinning from ear to ear the whole entire time!! She was having a ball splashing in the water, kicking her feet, and even drinking some of the water!! Daddy is going to come next week to see what it's all about & we'll for sure get some pictures of her!

Today is also Marcus' 29th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best daddy in the whole wide world!! He is such a fantastic dad to Jaelyn~she sure loves him. It's fun to see her reaction when he comes home from work. She wants to go straight into his arms. It's adorable! Her smile can't get any bigger when he comes home & loves to give him wet slobbery kisses!!
