Halloween

This year we spent Halloween with our good friends Erik & Kathy Day. Their friends from church were having a little party so we tagged along with them (thank you!). Here are a few pictures of the kiddos:

Jumperoo!

Ben's got a new perspective on life with the jumperoo! At this point he's not too sure what to make of it...but in time he'll figure things out & love it! :) Too bad the piano doesn't play music anymore...thanks to big sister, Jaelyn! She drooled so much on it that it doesn't work anymore! Ha! I tried getting a replacement for it, but for some reason the manufacturer doesn't do that. Bummer. Here's to many fun-filled moments in the jumperoo!! :)

Pumpkin Patch

Today we headed to South 47th Farm for our pumpkins! Jaelyn had a fun time picking out her pumpkin to carve (although we had to talk her out of getting a pumpkin that was mostly green!) & Ben stayed toasty warm in the baby bjorn!

Just another day....

I told Jaelyn to strike a pose...& this is what she did!

My first time sitting in the bumbo seat & I LOVE the new perspective! I definitely enjoy watching TV in my little chair. I'll even crank my neck whatever direction I need to catch a glimpse of the TV...for some reason I don't think my mommy wants me to watch TV yet.

Translation: "wow...this sitting thing is fun & I LOVE my mommy!"



Tummy time for Benjamin=trying to put his fist into his mouth...not a whole lot of working on lifting his head! (Mommy is a little to blame since she would let me sleep on my tummy for my naps...that was until Dr. Dave told her to stop!)

Computer

Jaelyn LOVES playing on the computer! So far her favorite sites to peruse are PBS Kids & Starfall. Starfall is great because it helps her learn her ABC's and what sounds they make, etc. PBS Kids is fun because her favorite "toons" characters are on there (i.e. Curious George, Elmo, Sid the Science Kid & Super Why!) I am amazed at how fast she has learned how to use the mouse! She can navigate all by herself...pretty impressive!

No more diapers!

On Tuesday we made a trip to Target so that Jaelyn could pick out her big girl underwear! Bless her heart...she wanted to buy Thomas the Train underwear...but I had to tell her that they were big boy underwear! So, she decided to buy Elmo & Hello Kitty underwear instead! Last week we did the whole naked thing..and she did really well with it...no accidents! I then tried the "training" underwear....but for some reason she had accidents in them. So with the advice from some friends we went straight to big girl underwear. She has done remarkably well with it! One accident on Tuesday, two on Wednesday (Daddy gave her lots of juice to drink while Mommy was running!), and NO accidents today! Woo-Hoo!! We even went to church for m2m/story hour today and she stayed dry the entire time! My big girl is growing up! Go, Jaelyn Go!!

3 Months!

Benjamin is 3 months old today! Wow...I can't believe it's been 3 months already. He such an easy going baby...he even doesn't mind his big sister poking him! He is "talking" a lot & giving us giggles when we tickle him. He continues to sleep through the night (10pm-5:30am) & then immediately falls back to sleep until 8:30am. However this morning I had to wake him up at 7:30am so that we could get out the door on time for m2m...hopefully this is a new trend he is starting! He has found his hands and looks intently at them...he has managed to find his thumb too! Not sure if this is the start of a thumb sucking habit...time will tell. He LOVES to watch tv and will crank his neck whichever direction he needs to watch it!
