Cousins!

Jaelyn's cousin Alexis was in town for a few days & so we packed in a lot of play time with her and Elisabeth! Most of the time we had played nicely together!

We are off running to see the goats!

The "green" way to get rid of an overgrown lot by Oma & Opa's house! The girls enjoyed seeing the goats, sheep, & the 2 dogs.

We tried to get a cousin shot with all the heads in a circle, but these kiddos were the only ones that cooperated!

We took this video last night...Ben has started giggling which is so much fun! Nothing can beat the sound of a baby's giggle! :)

Excuse the lack of diaper/shorts...Jaelyn enjoys being naked! Plus she tends to "know"when she has to go potty when she is naked...so off goes the diaper & shorts! She is doing so well with potty training at this point (2 days of being naked)...good 'ole m&m's!! :)

Puyallup Fair

We headed to the Puyallup fair once Daddy got home from work...we are lucky he only works 1/2 days on Fridays!! It was a beautiful day...even a bit too hot in the sun! We had fun looking at lots of animals...cows, gigantic horses, pigs, goats, bunnies, dogs, & lamas. Jaelyn could have spent all day in the barns. We also got to watch a cow being milked & a pig getting a bath...fun times! Oh, and we can't forget the food...had to make a stop on the YL booth for a beef sandwich & also an icecream cone. Yum!! :)

Benjamin did awesome at the fair! He was perfectly content in the stroller. Gotta love this kid...he's smiling so much more & even starting to giggle. :) As Jaelyn says all the time...he's a cutie pie!

Just another morning...

Jaelyn could play for hours if she has a bucket & some water! We have spent many mornings playing outside in the sandbox & playing with the hose. She likes to be naked too! Ha.

Ben's a trooper and is content to be in the papasan while Jaelyn plays outside.

Nothing like picking an apple off the tree from our yard & eating it...yum!

Things we love...

For some reason Jaelyn LOVES to rummage around in our closet & put on our clothes! She thinks it's hilarious...I'm getting sick of picking up after her!

Yep...she is taking a picture with her cell phone! Isn't it crazy that our kids won't even know what a film camera is all about?!

Jaelyn gets uber-excited when Daddy comes home! She's got some great ears...'cause she can hear the escort pull into the driveway! It's really cute how excited she gets and runs to the garage to meet him! This is definitely one of Daddy's favorite moments in the day!

Why?

On this day, September 8, 2009 the dreaded question has made it's appearance...again & again & again! What question you might ask? WHY?! Why mommy? Why? Why? Why? Oh my goodness! It's actually a little comical & annoying all at the same time! Yes, she's curious as to why everything is the way things are...but man...it gets a little old coming up with answers to questions like why there is deck stain on the house! (Um...'cause the previous owners were lazy & did a sub-par job?! Well, apparently she didn't like may answer because it was followed by the why questions again!)

2 months

I can't believe Benjamin is 2 months already! Boy...the weeks have flown by! At 2 months of age, Benjamin is giving LOTS of smiles to us, is starting to "talk", and best of all...sleeping through the night! He decided to sleep through the night when my family came out to visit (good timing!). His last feeding is around 10pm...& he usually wakes up anywhere between 5-7am. I love this stage because after the 1st morning feeding...it's back to sleep! So, if Jaelyn is still sleeping I get some more sleep too!

The Post Family Visit

We had a fun-filled week with the Post clan! Everyone stayed at our house except for my dad who wanted to get a hotel room. We had a lot of fun simply hanging out together. It was neat to watch Aidan & Jaelyn play together. They both stayed up WAY past their bedtimes each night & even managed to skip their naps one afternoon. They played hard together...always on the go..and had lots of fun playing with eachother and *sharing* the toys! A few highlights of our time together: Coho dinner (thanks Dad!), the zoo, doughnuts at Pikes Place Market, chopping wood, swimming with Auntie Kim, playing in the sandbox, & pickle ball games.

Benjamin's Baptism

On August 30th, we had Benjamin's baptism. It was a special day for our family...and it was great to have my family her to witness it too! Benjamin did great...he "talked" through his baptism! :) Oma made a special lunch for all of us: grilled pork tenderloin, cheesy potatoes, salad & fruit. Yum!!

The kids came up front to witness Ben's baptism too...
