Dry all night

Yep...that's right...Jaelyn is staying dry all night long! Her pull-up has been dry for a bit, but we are having her wear a pull-up over her underwear JUST to be 100% sure! (I don't really like to do laundry!)


Update: No more pull-ups! As of 8/8/10 we said good bye to them once and for all. It could of happened sooner, but camping for 2 weeks made us wait a bit! I didn't want a wet sleeping bag! :)

Benjamin's 1 year update ( a bit late!)

Some facts about Benjamin at 1 years old

Weight: 21 lbs 3/4 oz (25%)
Height: 30.5 inches (75%)

Favorite Toy: Trucks, being outside in the sand box or give him some water in a bucket...and there is endless hours of fun!
Fascinated by: dogs, horses, birds, garbage trucks. He also enjoys tossing his food on the floor when he is full (I remember Jaelyn doing the same thing at this age...we need to stop this fascination!)
Loves: to dance when music is playing, wave hello to anybody, run & play chase, splash during bath time, flirt with little girls
Latest Skill learned: It still amazes me that he understands what we say...for instance, if you ask him to sit down in the bathtub, he'll sit down. Or if you ask him if he wants more of something and he doesn't, he'll shake his head no!
Favorite Books: Um, not so much a reader yet. It may have to do with this Momma not reading to him as much as she did to Jaelyn at this age! I better start doing this!
Hates: to wear a bib (so I haven't even invested in a "boy" bib...maybe that's the issue...he doesn't like wearing a pink striped bib!), cutting his finger nails.
Favorite Foods: blueberries, chicken nuggets, rainier cherries, peas/carrots, waffles, pears, cheese, mac-n-cheese....really any fruit or veggie. Still working on getting meat into his diet...but he's getting so much better!
Teeth: 4 on top, 2 on bottom


A typical day for Ben (more for me to remember!):

7:00am: Wakes up & nurses (although I don't know how much he actually gets) We are still working on switching to whole milk...he isn't a big fan of it yet.
7:30-8:00am: Play, Play, Play!
8:00am: Eats breakfast (usually fruit, cheerios, waffles, eggs, toast, yogurt, etc)
9:00am: Nap
10:300am: Wakes up for some more playtime; has a little snack
11:00-12:30am: Play time or runs errands with Mom & Jaelyn
12:30pm: Eats Lunch (quesadilla, mac-n-cheese, left overs from dinner the night before, veggies, fruit)
1:30-3:30/4:00pm: ~5 oz bottle & then nap time
3:30-5:30pm: Play time, again!
5:30pm: Dinner
6:30pm: Bath time with Jaelyn
7:00pm: Mom gives ~8 oz bottle & then to bed! He must have his blankie to curl up with....sleeps a full nights sleep :)

Thomas the Train

We got to see Thomas the Train today! What fun! He was at the Snoqualmie Railway Musuem and we got to have a 30 min. train ride (a first for both Jaelyn & Benjamin). It wasn't quite worth the price of admission...but still fun for the kids! :)

Pearrygin Lake State Park, Winthrop WA

Over the 4th of July weekend we camped at Pearrygin Lake State Park with some friends. It was Ben's first camping experience & he did great! We had a wonderful time filled with riding scooters, riding strider bikes, swimming, kicking the soccer ball, smores, ice cream at Sheri's Sweet Shop & a boat ride!! Phew...we are all tired!!
