LHP Halloween Party!

Jaelyn had her Halloween party at school today - so fun to get dressed up and play games, do a craft and eat yummy food...plus sing some songs for the mommies!

Jaelyn's classmates all dressed up!

Super excited for the festivities to begin - especially because Ben was at Oma's house and therefore Jaelyn had her mommy all to herself!

Jaelyn the pretty fairy and Sadie as Madeline eating apples dipped in butterscotch & sprinkles - - what could be better?!

Enjoying a fun game together - lots of laughs!

Swimming

Here is a little video clip of Jaelyn's swimming lesson - starting off with her warm - up with the kick board (she's the one out in front!), backstroke, freestyle, butterfly, diving with the breast stroke to the wall, and then finally her spooky Halloween jump and swim to the bottom of the pool to go through the hoola-hoop! What a fun swimming lesson!! We love Ms. Angela!

Remlinger Farms

Jaelyn had her field trip to Remlinger Farms with her preschool today - - we went there last year with her class and were glad to go back again this year! Ben tagged along and was very excited!

Mrs. Pitt's & Mrs. Heimbinger's class (& siblings!)

Ben's much anticipated train ride!!

Just chillin'

Another highlight was the hay pit - there were mattress' under the hay which made it fun to jump in!

Getting air!

Each child got to pick out their own pumpkin at the very end - what fun!

pumpkins!

We headed out to South 47th Farm for some fall activities - pumpkins, kettle corn, hayride & farm animals! The sun was shining and we decided to take adventure of the dry weather!

Jaelyn thought this pumpkin was perfect for her

Ben found his pumpkin - with the kettle corn in hand. He would NOT let go of the bag!

Couldn't resist taking this photo op!

Feeding the Alpacas & goats

Not too sure of feeding the animals - she would throw the feed to them rather than having them eat from her hand!

Painting!

We got around to painting our house - yes, it took until September to have good weather to paint (and to figure out the color)! All that we've got left to paint are the doors! SO thankful to get rid of the ugly paint color on our house - - it looks SO much better!!

What a lot of work to prep the house for painting!

And the end result!

our helper

Benjamin decided he needed this "get-up" to pick up pine cones off the ground! We have a crazy squirrel living in our yard and he is tossing down hundreds and hundreds of these pine cones to eat later. It's a pain in the butt to clean up...but thankfully Ben "enjoys" helping - ear muffs and all!

He also enjoyed helping Daddy screw in the board on the deck after the house was painted
