An early Christmas!

Santa came early for our family! We got to celebrate Christmas early which was fun! It's actually kinda nice to get 1/2 of the shopping done before December is even here! Of course we all were spoiled again this year!! :)

John Ball Zoo

We went to John Ball Zoo one morning while staying at Brad & Suzanne's place. It's a great little zoo...nicely done...and you can see everything in an hour (especially in the winter months when a lot of the animals are gone).

I'm sure my mom has a picture of me standing by this guy when I was little...so I made Marcus & Jaelyn stand by him for me!

Cousins!

We wish Alexis & Jakob didn't have to live so far away...it was a treat for us to stay at their place while we were in GR!!

The girls loved playing with each other...but also had their moments!! I guess we can't expect them to play nicely all the time...they are only 2 years old! It was definitely a love/hate relationship!! They either were having lots of fun together...or crying over something the other did to them! Ha. :)

Off to Grand Rapids!

Here we are waiting for our plane to take off from SeaTac. We were able to go to GR from Nov. 21-Dec 2nd...a much better time frame than cramming everything in a couple days. We had many parties planned...Thanksgiving, a special birthday dinner for me & Dad, a baby shower for Kim, & Christmas!

This was Benjamin's first plane ride...and he did great! No ear problems for him...fed him on the way up & he was sleeping on the way down. He was easy to travel with. Jaelyn was a *bit* more active and kept us awake when all we really wanted to do was catch a snooze! But, she did great too! Playdough, sticker books, coloring books, & dvd's kept her occupied....oh & can't forget about all the snacks I packed for her too!

I think Ben wants some of Jaelyn's animal crackers!

Inside her backpack were her activities to keep her occupied. She loved carrying her back pack around! Kona the kitty cat is strapped on the front!

Tummy Time

What a big boy!

Gotta love the drool...he's gotta be starting on his first tooth!

We LOVE our little brother!

4 months!

Benjamin is 4 months old!!

Ben is such an easy-going, smiley, giggly, happy baby! At 4 months old Ben:

• enjoys tummy time for longer stretches of time...thanks to being able to hold his head up!
• loves to put his fist in his mouth. Not sure if he will be a thumb sucker...at times he'll suck his right or left thumb & then other times it's the index & middle finger together....he's not picky! He just needs something to suck on!
• enjoys holding toys...usually putting them in his mouth too!
  
• goes to bed around 9:30/10pm and wakes up ~7:30am. I'm looking forward to when he goes to bed earlier in the evening! I can't wait for evenings without kids!
  
• wakes up 1 time in the night. It's so unpredictable what time he'll wake up. It could be anywhere from 3am-5:30am. I'm eager for a full nights rest!
• usually wakes up talking to himself
• poops every 3 days or so. I know...that's a weird thing to want to remember...but it's so different than what I can remember with Jaelyn! Watch out when he does finally poop...it usually means bath time & laundry time!
• LOVES to watch whatever is on TV. We have to block his view if we want to watch TV!
• is not rolling yet...but can get up on his side. I'm not helping him learn this trick! It's nice having him stationary! :)
• has an older sister that adores him. We'll often find her giving him kisses/hugs, offering him toys to play with, & saying "I love Ben"!
• weighs 15 lbs 12 oz (75%) and is 26" tall (90%)
