Winter Wonderland in Michigan!!

We were able to sneak away from all the rain in Washington to a winter wonderland in Michigan over Jaelyn's mid-winter break! Michigan is having a record snow fall this year - accumulating 75 inches so far and more to come!

The Cascade mountains are truly beautiful from the sky! Buh-bye Washington....off to Michigan!

My side kick on the plane. She is definitely a momma's girl and wouldn't even sit with Daddy! Thankfully this is her last flight on my lap because next time she will have her own seat. I had to laugh because at one point I had all 3 kids next to me and Marcus was doing this...

What a booger! :)

Anyway, the kids had a blast playing in the snow & sledding down Papa's driveway - - either skeleton or luge style! (thanks to inspiration from the Olympics)

On Saturday morning we headed off to Jester's Court - a fun bouncy house place for the kids to play. The kids had a blast and were all smiles. They played hard for almost 2 hours!

Frozen Lake Michigan

Saturday Night we decided to venture off to Grand Haven too see the pier and walk on the frozen Lake Michigan. Nothing can prepare your for the frigid temperatures. Brrr. Daddy stayed back with Ben & Brooke because they were too cold. Jaelyn & I made it to the lake for a quick picture and then headed straight back to the warm truck. It sure is beautiful to see the lake all frozen over!

Meeting Baby Ryer!

The kids got to meet their newest cousin, Ryer Daniel. It was his special weekend because he was baptized! It was nice to finally be in town for a special occasion like this! It's hard missing out on birthdays, baptisms, etc because we live so far away.

Daddy Daughter Dance!

Off to a special date night - just the two of them! It was a fun night with friends from school & their daddies which included: photo booth pictures, crafts, dancing & yummy treats. Jaelyn said Daddy was really good at the limbo - - ha! :) What a fun night just the two of them. LOVE.
