Jaelyn's 1st choir concert

Jaelyn was really excited for her 1st ever choir concert!  She has been going to choir each Tuesday morning before school starts (8am-8:45am).  She loves it!  There was one song that had 6 verses in it and Mr. K said that the kindergarteners would sing as much as they had memorized....well Jaelyn was probably the only kindergartener that knew all the words!  Based on her singing all.day.long....we are probably in for many many more concerts to come!  We loved watching you sing - so fun!
Jaelyn's "primary choir" - consisting of Kindergarteners, 1st & 2nd graders.  Jaelyn is in the top row, second from right.

maiden voyage!

We were all super pumped to finally take the trailer out camping over Memorial Day Weekend!!  Yay!!  We met our good friends - the Meyers and Borsts at Daroga State Park.  It was a great time of camping...and trailer camping is definitely the way to go!  Having a bathroom, refrigerator and all the other amenities makes camping so much easier!!  I can't wait to make lots of family memories in it!!

Our campsite at Daroga State Park!
Brooke was constantly on the go - she didn't want to miss a thing!  Although you could never leave your eyes off of her for a bit b/c rocks, sticks and other fun stuff would enter her mouth!

Pastor Matt & Anna are into making balloon animals and other crazy things....the kids had fun doing this activity
Rolling down the hill - always super fun (even if there was geese poop in spots!)

campfire fun!

This is how we got our campfires started....a blow torch!  A boy and his toys...thanks for bringing it Aaron!

Friends all around the campfire - fun times!
Ben trying to make the perfect marshmallow (Mom and Dad ended up doing it for him)
Enjoying the fruits of her labor - -which we've tweaked a bit:  peanut butter on one side of the graham cracker, nutella on the other with the marshmallow in the middle.  YUMMO.  I don't like s'mores, but I thoroughly enjoyed these!
Sitting by the campfire is super fun.  We let the kids stay up WAY past their bedtime - kids hit the pillow around 10pm or so.  They were probably asleep before we finished praying!  We are still recuperating from the lack of sleep (Ben slept for 15 hours the 2nd night we were home - crazy!)

gym jam

Both Jaelyn & Benjamin participated in Gym Jam this year.  Not sure if they were more excited about the t-shirt/leotard and medal they each got for competing or showing off what they have learned this past year in gymnastics!  It was fun to watch both of them...we are SO proud of each of you and thank God for the abilities he has given you!

 Sister/Brother love!

I'm trying to upload video...but it's not working right now.  UGH.  Will try again later!

one less tooth!

The tooth fairy paid a visit to our house tonight....Jaelyn lost her first tooth!  It has been wiggly for awhile now and tonight I got to pull it out b/c it was hanging on by a thread!

Futbol

Jaelyn's playing on a U6 soccer team this spring - - they made up their team name and have settled on the Green Lightning, however they were the Seagulls and Hawks earlier in the season!  The girls have each gotten better in their skill level over the season - - Jaelyn definitely has the majority of the goals each game!  Some girls play for the snack after the game!!  Right now it's 3v3...and looking like a swarm of bees on the field!  So once Jaelyn breaks free of the crowd, she's a quick dribbler & scores often (she has been know to use her elbows/hands to gain better footing...ok, she comes by it honestly!)

 Go, Jaelyn Go!! :)
Little sister taking it all in on the sidelines!

soccer for Ben

Ben gets to play every Friday with Coach Greg.  Ben and a few other of his friends get personal training with the coolest coach around.  Ben LOVES it!  He's so pumped to be playing soccer - - instead of watching Jaelyn!
Coach Greg and the boys....I can't get over how small they look!  Too cute!
This point in the practice was hilarious.  One of Coach Greg's rules is that if you touch the ball with your hands or sit on the soccer ball he'll boot the ball far away and you have to run and get it.  Ben got caught holding the ball...so his ball was the first to get punted!  The only problem was when he finally reached his soccer ball he picked it up!  Ha!  So, once Ben dribbled the ball back to Coach Greg, he immediately punted it!!  Ben got some good running in at practice!  :)

mother's day tea

What a fun morning - just Ben & I.  I was greeted at the door by Ben saying, "may I escort you to your seat?"  Too adorable!  We got to eat some yummy treats together & drink yummy tea.  We got to watch the kiddos sing some songs for us & play in the photo booth (hence the picture!).  But what was most fun was to receive Ben's homemade gift - - it was a big card with his hand prints that were made into flowers, a special poem, a drawing he made of me (!).  Oh, and can't forget about the flowers he potted just for me!  Love you, Ben!  You made me feel SO special!  :)

love her!

Yep...we are at that stage where she enjoys climbing into drawers and dumps everything out of toy bins, laundry baskets, cabinets that aren't baby proofed, etc.  But how can you say no to this super adorable face?!
