no more thumb sucking!!

We purchased the "thumbuster" and the rest was history! The moment she put it on she didn't suck her thumb! I had been putting off trying to get her to quit just because I wasn't ready to spend all the energy reminding her, etc. But this little invention was heaven on earth! I did nothing as far as nagging her to not suck her thumb - - all she needed was a gentle reminder not to suck her thumb and she did it all on her own!! I swear by this little invention - well worth the $13 dollars from amazon! Probably in 1 weeks time she was completely over the urge to suck her thumb - - maybe sooner, but I didn't want her to revert back to sucking her thumb so she wore it a week or so. I'm so proud of this little girlie!!

10 years!

Wow - - it's been 10 years already!

We celebrated our anniversary by "playing" for the day! Oma came over at 12:30 and we headed into Seattle for a boat cruise on Lake Union. It was a very relaxing cruise - enjoyed taking in the sights of beautiful Seattle.

After the cruise was over, we headed to Pikes Place Market and walked around at our leisure. It was SO fun to not have to worry about kids or strollers...and just be the two of us. Wonderful!!

And then - off to The Capital Grille for our anniversary dinner. We LOVE that place! Our table was set up specifically for us: heart/love confetti down the center, champagne & a card - - all from the Capital Grille Team. We had the most amazing dinner: French onion soup, spinach salad, lobster mac n cheese, mouth watering steak, asparagus with hollandaise sauce and to top of the evening they brought us a dessert that was SO delish!

What a fun, fun day to spend "playing" with my hubby of 10 years. Gosh - I can't believe we've hit this milestone already!! We are planning a get-away for just the two of us up to the San Juan Islands. Can't wait for some more play time! :) Love you babes!
