The ultrasound!!!

Well, we had our ultrasound on Tuesday and found out what we are having! Can you tell?!

Ok, so this first one is just a profile picture of our little peanut...all 7 oz!!

Now can you tell? As our ultrasound tech told us: you are looking at leg #1, leg #2, and leg #3! Ha!! We are super excited for our little guy!! He is already a very active little peanut...I've been able to feel his kicking & acrobats for a good week and a half! Everything looked great...all the measurements were what they were supposed to be. I'm glad to know everything is right on track with his growth/development and that my diabetes is not a factor for him.

As you can tell, Jaelyn is very excited to be a big sister to her brother!!

Lexi & Jaelyn

Lexi came up for a visit last week thanks to her dad having to do some business up here. Jaelyn LOVED getting to play with Lex for 2 days!!
What goobers....the minute I brought out the camera and they both struck a pose and said "cheese"!!

Strangling....um, I mean loving on Lexi!

I guess she really didn't mind the hug!

Random thoughts...

I've been meaning to blog this for the last week, but haven't gotten around to it! Since I use this blog to journal...I figured this was the best place to jot it down.

Jaelyn has always been an easy one to put down to sleep. She's got her bedtime routine down: fun in the bath tub with daddy/vitamins/brush teeth, daddy get's her ready for bed & then I step in to sing her a few bedtime songs before I tuck her into bed (aka extra cuddle time for me!). Well, the last week or so Jaelyn hasn't wanted anything to do with the singing. She wants to go right to bed...and she lets me know! I'll try to start singing, but she says "nigh-night"! Then I usually say, "don't you want mommy to sing you a few songs?" and she'll respond, "nigh-night"! My baby girl is growing up way too fast!! I don't want to let go of the couple of minutes of cuddle time...but she is ready!

Another fun new thing is that she can finally blow her nose!! She hasn't had a cold since August so this was a delight to find out she had mastered this trick! Boy, is it nice to have her able to blow into a tissue.

One other cute thing she did while shopping with me the other day: I was trying on some new maternity clothes and when I had put on the new shirt she looked at me and exclaimed, "Nice!" (and this was without any prompting from me) Oh...how precious!!

Fun little tidbits to remember!!

Byeman Christmas Recap

We celebrated with the Byeman clan over New Year's Eve weekend....santa came to our house a bit late! It was definitely a fun evening with all 3 girls walking & playing together....busy, busy night! It's fun to watch the little girls' friendship blossom. Jaelyn gets very excited when we tell her that she is going to play with Lexi & Elisabeth!! Too cute. One major highlight for Jaelyn, of course, was that Brutus came to play with her!! She never can get enough of him!! Daily she mentions Brutus...I've resorted to saying the Brutus is "nigh-night" at Lexi's house because that usually ends the conversation!!

Too cute! Brutus is so patient with her!

Now that all 3 girls are walking, much of the evening was spent running laps in the house! Jaelyn can run, so she was out in front. Lexi tried to catch her, but isn't running quite yet. And Elisabeth is a new walker so she got some help from her mommy & daddy to keep up with the older ones! They LOVED it!! :)

Of course there were presents to be opened....Jaelyn kept saying "more" when she was finished opening up a gift (see video below)!! Not sure if she wanted more presents or just loved ripping the paper!!

Thanks Oma & Opa for the cool art easel!

We put together another calendar for Oma & Opa of the girls...Jaelyn helped Opa look at all the cute pictures.

Our Little Christmas

This year we were home for Christmas (since we did any early celebration with my family in early December). We woke up Christmas morning to some freshly fallen white stuff....gorgeous!!

12 inches!

Our Christmas was pretty low-keyed this year. Marcus & my gift to each other was the house & many trips to Home Depot! So, after we ate a yummy breakfast Jaelyn got to open up a few presents.

It was fun to watch her get into unwrapping the presents this year!

Jaelyn LOVED this gift: baby stroller, bassinet, baby & baby accessories. Costco has the best gifts! It's so cute to watch her "take care" of the baby. She feeds baby her food (she even shares her snacks with baby!), tucks baby into bed with her "boo" (aka blanket), & takes her on many walks. What fun!!

Maybe practicing for when her baby brother or sister comes?!? We'll have to work on gentle touches & not man-handled hugs!

My dad gave her a kitchen for Christmas...so we had her open it up Christmas morning too. She didn't exactly know what it was 'cause it was still in the box...

...but we took it over to our new house and daddy spent 2 1/2 hours putting it together!!

Here she is checking it out....

I think it's a winner! She LOVES pretending to make meals with it...I get to try many of her delicious meals!

Her kitchen came with a phone, but she still likes my cell phone. So...why not try and talk on both at the same time?!?

Our New House!

I've been out of the blogging world for a while....mainly because I've been super-duper tired during my 1st trimester AND because we finally moved into our new house!!

This picture was taken a few weeks ago when we got dumped on with snow! The snow finally melted a couple days ago thanks to the rain we had....however, the snow did make for a beautiful white Christmas! Supposedly there has only been 10 white Christmas' in Seattle since like 1890 or there abouts!! Crazy!

We had a lot of work to do to the place before we moved in: scrubbing floors, cleaning everything in sight, patching up holes in the walls, cleaning the carpet, painting (had to get rid of the orange walls!!), pressure washing the driveway, cleaning the clogged gutters, and a lot of other odds and ends. But it was all worth it...New Years Eve was our first night in our place!! Even though we didn't ring in the new year (too tired from moving all day) it was wonderful to wake up in our new place!

Jaelyn striking a pose! I think she likes the house!

Jaelyn's Secret!

Yep...we are expecting our 2nd child!! I'm currently 14 weeks along...baby is due July 7th! So, I thought this would be a fun way to share the news, but oh my goodness...trying to get her to cooperate & stand still so that we could see all the words on the shirt was harder than expected! I'm glad to have the 1st trimester over with and am eager to get my energy back!!
