weekend with papa!

We had such a FUN-FILLED weekend with Papa...jammed packed with lots of great activities! We rode bikes/scooters, played on our play set, colored, read stories together, went to swim lessons, went out for ice cream, played at the park, had a wonderful/special brunch at Salty's on Alki & went to the Aquarium. Phew....we are exhausted just thinking about all we did! Thank you Papa for a great weekend - we were sad when you weren't here when we woke up this morning. Please come again...real soon! :)

it's that time of the year

Opa had the kids over to help him plant his garden. Jaelyn has been looking forward to this for awhile - now she is going to learn what patience is...waiting for the fruits of her labor! This girl *hearts* her veggies straight out of the garden!! Hopefully we'll get Benjamin to do the same thing!

This year they helped him finish planting the peas.

While Jaelyn & I were at the Mother's Tea, Benjamin was having lots of fun with Opa! They checked out the animals and played at Farrel-McWhirter Park and then ran into town for some ice cream!! What a special treat - and so fun to have Opa all to himself!! Ben was so exhausted after their little adventure that he fell asleep on the way home from eating his cone!! :) Thanks Opa for playing with Benjamin this morning!

Mother's Day Tea

I was treated to a Mother's Day Tea Party at Jaelyn's school today! It was such fun. She escorted me to my seat, filled my plate with the things she thought I would like to eat (!), sang some cute songs, and gave me yummy homemade chocolates & bath salts. It was fun to have a special mother-daughter time!! :)

home depot's workshop

The first Saturday of each month Home Depot have workshops for kids. They get the HD apron as well as pins for each workshop they attend. Since we practically live at Home Depot, it's been fun for the kids to do! This month was a flower pot stand for Mother's day! Lots of glue & some hammering!! Fun Times!

No, it's Jaelyn!

Jaelyn's been swimming for 8 months now - and she LOVES it! When I ask her what her favorite part of the swimming lesson is (swimming on tummies, back, butterfly stroke, froggie stroke (aka breast stroke), diving, or play time) she says EVERYTHING! Maybe we've got a competitive swimmer on our hands!
