How is Ice Cream Made?

That was the topic of Jaelyn's FIRST research presentation that she gave to her class!  Her presentation was complete with a power point, note cards, & a yummy treat for the kids to eat after it!!  I'm still amazed at what 1st graders are required to do:  Research & take 2 column notes (wow...I probably didn't start taking notes until high school!!).  Then she had to create her power point presentation & what she was going to say.  She did a fabulous job!!  She worked hard on it and delivered a great speech!

After playing in the bouncy house, Brooke came out looking like this!  :)  I can't believe that she will be TWO in a little more than 2 weeks! 

Team Philies!

Ben's T-ball season has begun!  The cool thing is that 2 of his buddies from preschool are on his team plus cousin Elisabeth!  To top it off, Uncle Tom & Daddy are assisting Coach Cori .  It's going to be a fun season.  Go Philies!!  :)

ROCKETS

Daddy got to take off of work to teach a Friday choice at school!  We couldn't have asked for a better day!  It was fun to be outside - building rockets & launching them!  :)  I think Daddy had as much fun as the kids did!  :)

King 5's Evening Magazine fliming

Jaelyn's class was chosen to be filmed for an Evening Magazine episode at Pasado's Safe Haven!  PSH had come to her class in January to educate on what they do & why they do it.  We must have left a good imprint on them because they really wanted us to come for the filming!  (maybe it was because we donated so many items for the animals!)  It was a beautiful pacific northwest day - not a cloud in the sky!  What a fun day & educating day!

Jaelyn's class brought treats for the animals and was able to feed the pigs, turkeys & cows!

What a cool experience to be on camera!  The kids are very excited to watch the show once it airs on television!  Jaelyn was asked to answer some questions on camera...but she declined.  Maybe next time!

Friends - and they even share the same exact birthday with the same doctor!  Nilla was just born in the morning and Jaelyn at night!  Crazy!! :)

Rollerskating!

Jaelyn & Ben had their first experience rollerskating the other day!  What fun!  Yes, we hugged the wall the whole time - but had lots of fun!  

It's all thumbs up for rollerskating! (& maybe a sore bum to go with!!)
