Sun Lakes State Park

Over Memorial weekend we headed over the hill in search of sun and warmth.  Boy did we ever get sun and warmth.  It was HOT...too hot for us...upper 80's!  Unfortunately I forgot the camera for the trip - it's always a scramble to get all the packing in at the last minute!  However, I did get a few snapshots from our friends.  (actually it was kinda nice not having the camera and I could just soak in the memories...rather than always looking through the camera lens!)
Checking out the Grand Coulee Dam.  What a massive structure.  Pretty incredible.
Visiting Dry Falls.  If water was still flowing over the falls - it would be the largest waterfall in the world.  Yes...the world!  Too bad the water stopped after the ice age!  :)

Just hanging out at our campsite.  This is what our backyard looked like while camping!  Pretty impressive.  However, what you can't see is the mosquitoes, goat heads & goose poop.  Yep, never need to go back to this campground!  The mosquitoes were horrible - the kind that bug you so much that you apply deet in the morning!  Goat heads were a new thing for us - don't like them one bit because they popped our bike tires the first day we were there.  And then....goose poop EVERYWHERE on the beach.  Yuck.  You couldn't take one step in the grass without stepping on the poop.  Thankfully most of it was picked up on the beach. Gross.  To top it off, I woke up on the last day to hives.  Not sure what made me react like that...but it was the final straw to break the camel's back.  Never need to go back!  :)
The kids did have a blast camping...it wasn't all bad!
Brooke and Truman playing catch together!  Precious.

Mother's Day Tea

This is absolutely one of my most favorite days to spend with Ben at preschool!  They work SO hard on their projects and songs for us.  It is really a precious time together!  Can't believe this is my last one with my guy!

Ben painted this portrait of him and I!  Wow!!  Impressive little artist!  :)  He was very excited to give this to me....leading up to the tea he would drop hints on what colors he used....he couldn't contain himself.  Adorable.  :)
