Mommy's Little Helper

Jaelyn likes to "clean" for me. When I'm changing Benjamin's diaper she'll pull out a diaper wipe and "clean" all the surfaces around her (doors, closet, furniture, etc). We got this little vacuum to clean up all the crumbs a certain little someone seems to get on the floor...she LOVES to vacuum! Too cute.

The Garden!!

I've been waiting patiently for Opa's garden to start producing all the yummy produce since last summer!! I was so excited to eat the peas, broccoli & tomatoes straight from the plants!! I'm looking forward to the beans being ready too! Mommy tells me that next year we will have our own garden too!! I'm so excited for that!!

Opa...thanks for sharing all your yummy vegetables with me!

Jaelyn likes going for walks to see her horses...she thought Benjamin would too! However, he slept through the whole experience! Oh, well! She thinks its fun to be able to sit right next to Ben! Let's hope that love for her brother continues!!

Telephone conversation

We finally caught her "talking" on the phone the other night. Most times she stops what she is doing if we pull out the camera..but this night she kept on talking. Too cute!

This one is for you, Papa! We miss you and can't wait to see you soon!!

2 wk check-up

Benjamin had his 2 wk check-up today with Dr. Dave. Everything looks good...still a bit jaundice, but nothing to worry about.

His stats: 9 lbs 9.5 oz (75%) , 22 inches long (90%)

Me & my little brother!

Every chance I get I ask Mommy if I can hold baby Benjamin. I usually say, "baby see him", "hold please", "eye's open?". Thankfully Mommy usually lets me hold him...I Love him SO much! :)

Being a big sister is so great (well, at least so far)!

Benjamin Jacobus is here!

We are so happy to announce the birth of Benjamin Jacobus! He made his grand entrance into the world at 8:09pm. He was 8 lbs 15 oz and 21 inches long. Labor went super fast for me. Unfortunately the epidural I got could not "keep up" with how fast I was progressing. My labor was 3 hours long after I started feeling the contractions. I had no idea I would progress that fast! Wow...was it ever painful. But the reward is oh so sweet! We love you, Benjamin!

Benjamin all ready to come home. He was 22 hours old when we left the hospital! I couldn't wait to sleep in my own bed! Those labor/delivery beds are not the most comfortable to sleep in!
