Auntie Nancy invited us over to a Christmas Party she throws every year...and someone very special made a surprise visit! Jaelyn was awe struck and had a huge smile on her face when she saw the man in the red suit appear!
Santa came bearing gifts for all the kids & some "big" kids too! (Each parent wrapped up a gift for their kid(s) & placed it in a undisclosed spot outside the house so that Santa could bring them in!) So fun!!
At first Jaelyn didn't want to sit on Santa's lap - so Daddy went up with her. She was surprised that she got another Fancy Nancy book!
But later in the evening she hopped up on his lap all by herself. I was actually amazed/surprised that she did that! She sat long enough for a quick picture & wished him a very Merry Christmas! She did want to know where he parked his sleigh - thankfully one of the gals at the party had the "story" down pat. She told him that he parked his sleigh & reindeer at the bottom of the hill because it was too crowded with all the cars. That was all she needed to hear! Phew!
Ben wasn't a big fan of Santa either - tears started to flow the minute he realized that he was called to get a present from Santa! Dad came to the rescue & went up with him. Ben stopped crying for a bit & was intrigued by his beard and such but soon...
...started crying again! Santa did bring him James the engine for his new train track.
