Jaelyn & Ben went to see Santa today. I honestly didn't know how it was going to go because last year Jaelyn was in tears & I thought Benjamin would probably be in tears this year...so would both kids be crying for the picture? We got there right when Santa arrived from the North Pole (he came in his green sleigh - his everyday sleigh - because the elves were shining up his special red sleigh for Christmas!) & we got some special treatment! Santa read Twas the Night Before Christmas to Jaelyn & Benjamin (or you could read between the lines and assume that the camera wasn't working properly so he read to the 2 kids to help pass the time!) This extra time let Jaelyn warm up to the idea of Santa & sitting on his lap...Ben, not so much. Our Santa picture this year is of Jaelyn smiling on his lap & Ben shedding some tears! When Santa asked Jaelyn what she wanted, she responded that she wanted a cash register (Oma is getting that!) and she told him that Ben wanted a helmet & scooter. Well, no scooter for Ben this year - but he will get his helmet!

Couldn't get the two to cooperate for a picture...oh well..Jaelyn was excited to see Santa!
